Preliminary Exercise: Camera Angles Week 11/28-12/02

  First Paragraph  Starting off,   Camera angles spots a certain location at which the camera or video camera is position to take a shot. Scenes could possibly be shot from various camera angles all together. This creates experiences and even emotions.  Second Paragraph  Camera angles has several different elements. Such as, a knee level shot is when the camera is low as the character/actor knees. Using a knee level shot can show a vast amount of dominance, especially paired with a low angle. The purpose of this is highlighting the character and the significance in the scene. It could even grab the attention on a character walk, creeping or even sneaking.   Third Paragraph Hip level shot AKA "Cowboy shot" is when the camera is placed waist high. This is most useful in cowboy movies and where it gets its name. It is very useful when action is happening near the hip. Such as, showing a weapon or even when someone is reaching into their pockets. This...

  Introduction Paragraph Camera framing is the placement and position of the subjects in your shots. This is used for a filmmaker photographing a certain scene in order to recreate appealed effects. Camera Framing is essential because it places visual images in a frame. Including, actors in connection to other objects in the scene. In Addition, it enhances an image and keeps the audience's focus on the framed objects. Lastly, it's mainly made up of two types of framing: loose and tight framing. Second Paragraph  Furthermore, we watched videos on camera framing and composition. Then, we found 16 images from various movies. Lastly, we defined 16 camerawork shot, listed 2 key points and named the title of the movie and also the year. In the slide above, I defined a Single/one shot and a Two shot. Introduction to Storyboarding Camera Angles. Week 11/14-11/18

Introduction Paragraph   To start off, Camera angles plots a certain location where the movie camera or video camera is placed to take a shot. For Instance, the scene could be shot from various camera angles simultaneously. This was very helpful. Second paragraph this is significant because it can give a different practice or also emotion.  In addition, it helps the target audience interpret the message that's being conveyed in the film. We created a good storyboard. Reflection Paragraph  Creating the storyboard helped me to understand the notion of camera angles. Such as, the importance of camera angles and concept of it. In Conclusion, this lesson was very effective.

Introduction to Storyboarding Shot sizes. Week 11/14-11/18

  Intro Paragraph Camera shot sizes is how much of the setting, or subject is shown within a certain frame of a video, photo, or animation, or size of a shot. This is significant because it gives the audience a better understanding of the scene setting. Reflection Paragraph In addition, creating this storyboard it gave me more insight on how media language interprets viewpoints. Also, how media can create an overall meaning. As a group, we analyzed and studied the ideas of camerawork, camera angles, camera framing, camera composition and shot size. Lastly, this gave me a better  perception on this concept, and it was very beneficial.

Introduction to Storyboarding: Camera Composition Week 11/14-18

  Introduction Paragraph Camera composition is referring to the way elements of a scene are arranged in a camera frame. This is significant because it assists driving the story behind your image and catches the audience attention. In addition, there's 7 rules to composition. For Instance, leading lines this helps to direct an audience. Rule of 3rds: this enables grids on the camera. Symmetry/Asymmetry Shot: both sides of the shot are mirrored images. On the other hand, Asymmetry is an equal visual weight.  Second Paragraph To start off, the main important rules to camera composition is Point Shot: this is used to organize a particular frame. Also, point shot is often paired with Rule of 3rd's. Next, shape shot helps to bring a visual identity to an image. The key points are that creates our visual reality. Creates frames within frames.   Introduction Paragraph  Camera Framing is referring to how you place or position an object even person in shots. This concept is mainly about composing an image instead of pointing the camera at the subject. Adding on, camera framing is significant because it places visual elements in a frame. For Instance, a character or even subject in relation to other objects in a certain scene. Also, framing can even make an image more aesthetically pleasing and keep's the viewer image on the framed objects.   Second Paragraph To start off, there's 2 types of framing: loose framing and tight framing. With loose framing, it makes all the visual elements appear in a frame with a wide amount of space. Also, the scene itself is very spread out, that characters have freedom of movement.
