Tilt Shot-
When the camera is moved up to down or down to up. Mystery girl picks up Janie folder off of the floor. In this clip, the girl drops her folder, and a mystery character picks it up. This technique was used to create a sense of suspense.
Zoom out shot-
Adjusting the lens so the image seems smaller and further away. Jane is very attentive, trying to finish her Algebra homework. Using this technique allowed the viewers to look more closely at the background.
Tracking Shot-
Any shot that physically moves the camera through the scene for a period of time. The 2 girls are walking trying to find their next class. This technique allowed the audience to see them walking through the hallway.
Pull out shot-
The camera moving away from subject. Fiona is lost in her thoughts during lunch. Fiona is thinking to herself, using the pull-out shot gives a view on what's going on.
Static Shot-
A devoid of camera movement. The kids are walking, trying to get to class on time. With a static shot, the audience can study the frame better and it conveys information.
Trucking shot -
Moving the camera either left or right. The 2 best friends are chatting in the hallway. In this clip, the 2 girls are walking together in the hallway. Using this technique, the characters stay in a moving subject.
